Account deletion

Delete your Red Thread account.

If you can still sign in, the fastest way is from inside the app: Settings → Delete account, type DELETE to confirm. It runs instantly.

If you can't sign in (lost device, locked out, deleted the app already, or never want to open it again), use the form below. We verify identity from what you provide and run the same deletion within 14 days.

This is permanent. Once we run the deletion, your profile, photos, votes, blocks, and matches are removed from production systems within 30 days and age out of backups within 90 days. Messages you sent stay in the other person's inbox attributed to "Deleted User," because those messages belong to them too. You won't be able to recover any of it.

What gets deleted

Your profile (name, DOB, gender, preferences, bios)
All your photos
Every vote you cast as a judge
All your matches and your side of each conversation
Your blocks and your reports
Your Firebase Authentication record

What survives

Messages you sent to other users remain in their inbox, attributed to "Deleted User." We can't unilaterally delete from someone else's conversation.
A minimal tombstone record, "this UID was deleted on this date", for abuse prevention.
Moderation reports against you, retained up to 24 months, so repeated abuse doesn't get a clean slate via deletion.
Audit-log entries showing the deletion was run.
